Women’s Backcountry Skiing with ACMG Guide Erica Roles

Join SkiUphill and ACMG-certified guide Erica Roles for a Women’s-only Backcountry Skiing day designed for intermediates with a minimum of 5 days experience touring. This course helps you build confidence and understand the essentials of backcountry travel — from gear use and uphill techniques to terrain awareness and safe decision-making. This course adds valuable hands-on experience and practical field knowledge in a supportive, women-led environment.

January 8, 2026:
Meet @ 7:30am at Beamers in the Shops of Canmore for course intro, hazard discussion and equipment check.

After that we head out for our ski day in Kananaskis or BNP (you will need transportation). 


You will need to provide your own touring and avalanche equipment. This is available to rent in many places if you do not own it. 
Returns and Exchanges

We accept returns on eligible items within 15 days of delivery, provided the product is in like-new condition.

Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.

Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
All sale items are final sale. The following items are not eligible for return: carbon-plated running shoes, avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes, airbags), climbing equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, slings), ski crampons, helmets and gift cards.

Return Process & Fees
International returns are not accepted. A 10% deduction applies to all refunds to cover credit card processing and administrative fees.
