Queen and King of the Hill - Week #1 - Mount Crumpit

May 19th to May 26th 2024

Also known as “The Everest of Valleycliffe”, Mt Crumpit delivers alpine-style movement from the security of sea level. However, don’t be seduced by Crumpit’s modest elevation gain. The suffering this punchy climb induces may be short-lived but if you do it right, you’ll feel the hurt deeply and immediately.

Description:

Start your watch on the short bridge near the start of the S&M Connector.

Start your watch on the short bridge shortly after the start of S&M Connector.

Then make a right turn almost immediately after the said bridge onto a trail called "Deep Ends" to Crumpit’s false summit. From there, technically-inclined runnists will look forward to a short, daring descent, two thirds of the way up, before the final steep pitch to the true summit of Mt Crumpit via "Stairway to Heaven" followed by the "Viewpoint Trail".

Stop your watch when you touch the cairn at the summit.
