Description

Light on the climb, serious on the descent. The redesigned Zero G 96 takes Blizzard’s touring legend and gives it a smoother, less “carbon-brittle” ride without losing its edge. A new Trueblend touring core with ash underfoot means stronger binding retention and more confidence in big terrain, while keeping weight low enough for all-day pushes.

On snow, it feels precise and predictable. The long contact length bites on firm, steep lines, while the updated tip and tail shape let you roll into and out of turns with less fight. Compared to the old Zero G 95, this version holds onto the hardpack DNA but adds forgiveness in mixed conditions and more float when it’s soft.

Still among the lightest skis in its class, it delivers touring efficiency without the nervous ride you expect from most carbon builds. It’s stable when you want it, agile when you need it, and doesn’t punish you for getting tired at the end of a 10-hour day.

Who it’s for: Ski tourers chasing big vertical, long traverses, volcano missions, or committing lines where edge hold matters more than surf. If you want one ski to trust in variable snow—from chalk to corn to the odd powder reset—this is your tool.

The quick take: A sub-100 touring ski that climbs like a feather but actually skis like a ski. Fast on the up, composed on the down, and finally as friendly as it is capable. If your touring quiver has room for only one ski, the Zero G 96 is it.
