Description

Atomic Maverick 105 CTI is a directional freeride ski built for skiing the whole mountain like it’s one long idea, not a checklist of conditions. It sits at roughly 104–105 mm underfoot, weighs about 2050 g per ski (185 cm), and carries a mid-teens to ~20 m radius, striking a balance between real edge hold and easy release.

The feel is best described as a charger with manners. The ski is quick edge to edge, confident at speed, and composed in chop, while still being easy to pivot in trees, bumps, and steeps. HRZN 3D shaping in the tip and tail adds surface area and smooth turn entry, improving float and forgiveness in soft snow without dulling precision on firmer runouts. It wants to be skied forward and driven, but it doesn’t punish you if you dial things back.

Reviews consistently highlight how intuitive and versatile the Maverick 105 CTI feels for a ski in this width. It has a high speed limit for its weight and category, though very powerful or heavier skiers may still find heavier, more metal-laden skis calmer on true boilerplate or at full throttle. The upside is a ski that feels lively, energetic, and far less fatiguing over a long day.

Who it’s for: advanced to expert skiers looking for a true daily driver for Western resort conditions. Think soft groomers, chop, leftovers, trees, steeps, and the occasional real pow day. It also works well as a downhill-focused hybrid touring setup for skiers who want one ski to pull double duty.

What’s changed from the previous generation: the Maverick 105 CTI is a clear step away from the more on-piste-leaning Maverick 100 Ti. It borrows more DNA from the Maverick 115 CTI, offering improved stability, better soft-snow performance, and a more confident feel in mixed and chopped conditions, addressing feedback that earlier Mavericks could feel a bit too light and nervous when things got rough.

In short, it’s a modern freeride ski for skiers who want to ski fast, ski everything, and still have fun doing it.
