Description: Locomotive Mountain is located just West of the height of the Hurley FSR, North of Pemberton. Despite the long drive from Squamish this area is well worth a visit. Once you park your car at 1400 meters at the Semaphore Lakes trailhead, runners will enjoy a short and pleasant 250 meter approach to Semaphore Lakes in the alpine. Once past Semaphore Lakes the route is off trail, Follow the gentle ridgeline towards the summit of Locomotive peak. Runners will experience some short sections of class 3 scrambling and talus fields. The views of the Pemberton valley from Locomotive peak are spectacular.
