Bootfitter I and II (Canmore, AB)

You understand that a properly fitted ski boot is the foundation of every great day in the mountains. Whether you're an experienced bootfitter or looking to continue developing your skills, you enjoy solving problems, asking thoughtful questions, and working one-on-one with customers to understand their goals, anatomy, skiing style, and aspirations.

As a Bootfitter I or II, you'll guide customers through a comprehensive bootfitting experience—from shell sizing and liner selection to footbeds, shell modifications, and final adjustments. You'll combine technical expertise with exceptional customer service to deliver personalized solutions that help people spend more meaningful days in the mountains.

Deliver exceptional ski boot fitting experiences through thoughtful assessment, measurement, and personalized recommendations.

Evaluate customers' foot shape, biomechanics, skiing objectives, previous equipment, and fit concerns to recommend the appropriate boots and modifications.

Perform bootfitting services appropriate to your certification and experience, including liner molding, custom footbeds, punching, grinding, stretching, canting, and other shell modifications.

Educate customers on proper boot fit, buckling techniques, sock selection, break-in expectations, and ongoing boot care.

Recommend skis, bindings, skins, avalanche safety equipment, apparel, and accessories that complement each customer's objectives.

Support customers with technical questions related to ski touring equipment, boot compatibility, binding systems, layering, and backcountry travel.

Maintain detailed bootfitting records and communicate follow-up recommendations to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

Help resolve customer concerns professionally and work collaboratively with senior bootfitters or managers when additional expertise is required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bootfitting workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Assist with merchandising, inventory receiving, and preparing boots and equipment for display and sale.

Contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment built around education, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer experiences.

Follow company policies and procedures while helping protect company assets.

Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace where customers and teammates feel welcome.

Perform other duties as required.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the winter season.
• Willingness to continually develop bootfitting knowledge and technical skills.

• Previous experience in ski bootfitting, ski retail, or a related technical role.
• Experience with liner molding, custom footbeds, and shell modifications (Bootfitter II).
• Passion for skiing and ski touring with a strong understanding of modern ski equipment.
• Ability to confidently assess fit issues and recommend technical solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Industry bootfitting certifications or manufacturer training are considered an asset.
