Howe Sound Crest Trail

Description: About as classic as it gets. This traverse puts the “Sky” in Sea To Sky. Starting in Cypress Bowl and ending in Porteau Cove the HSCT will take runners on a journey along one continuous ridge line. Runners will flow in and out of the Subalpine Jungle with sections of class 3 scrambling and moderate exposure. Late in the summer water is very scarce until upper Deeks Lake so make sure to pack accordingly. Early in the summer steep firm snow can make for difficult travel. It is worth doing research into conditions prior to completing this outing. The HSCT is very technical and the distance is not representative of how long this outing takes. Plan for a full day on the trails with proper emergency equipment. A car shuttle is necessary.
