Dynafit Blacklight Carbon Pro Bindings
Description
The Dynafit Blacklight Carbon Pro is the new benchmark for high-end speed touring bindings. At just 242 grams per side, it strips away excess without giving up the adjustability and safety features that matter when the terrain gets real. Built from aluminum with carbon reinforcement in the heel, it’s light, stiff, and unapologetically precise.
The binding runs a fully adjustable release range of 6 to 12, paired with about 11 millimeters of elastic length compensation. That elasticity means your settings stay consistent even as the ski flexes and chatters through variable snow. A 20-millimeter adjustment track gives enough room to swap boots or fine-tune your fit. You can add brakes in widths of 75, 90, or 105 mm if you want them, or run it stripped for the lightest setup.
On the uphill, you get a Speed Step climbing aid, flat mode, and a Quick-In crampon slot for icy mornings. Step-In Side Towers and an Easy Entry surface keep transitions clean, while Ice Breaker pins help clear snow and keep the toe jaws snapping reliably. The lever is designed to be operated with a ski pole, because fumbling with gloves off at 3,000 meters is no one’s idea of fun.
The Blacklight Carbon Pro isn’t built to coddle. It’s aimed at ambitious ski mountaineers and fast-moving backcountry skiers who care about every gram but still demand confidence when dropping into steep couloirs or firm snow. If you’re looking for a forgiving, playful binding for powder laps or mellow tours, this isn’t it. If you want precision, efficiency, and a binding that holds up when the line gets serious, this is what Dynafit built it for.
