Dynafit DNA Ski Boots
Description
The Dynafit DNA Boot is a full-throttle race and speed-touring weapon built for the light-and-fast crowd who still want control on the descent. With a carbon cuff and a carbon-loaded Grilamid® shell, it’s insanely light (around 800 g per boot) yet stiff enough to push hard when gravity takes over.
Up to 60–70° of cuff rotation gives you a smooth, natural stride on the skin track, while the RaceLock lever and TwistFit cable system make transitions lightning-fast and the fit dialed in. The liner is minimalist and snug—think efficient rather than plush—so precision skiers will love the direct feel.
The DNA’s character is all about fast ascents and confident descents. It’s surprisingly stable for its weight, with a flex pattern that’s more forgiving than most pure race boots. The narrow 98–99 mm last and sharp fit make it best suited for dedicated skimo racers or high-end tourers who care more about efficiency and responsiveness than comfort.
Who it’s for: serious racers, uphill crushers, and ultra-fit backcountry skiers chasing vertical and seconds.
Who it’s not for: resort skiers, comfort seekers, or freeriders with wide feet or big skis.

What’s New vs the Previous Generation
-
Fit improvements: The newer version features a reworked toebox and a taller instep than previous iterations, making the fit more accommodating for more foot shapes.
-
Liner upgrade: A slightly thicker liner in the new model gives better all-round support without significant weight penalty.
-
Construction/tech carry-over: The carbon cuff and carbon-loaded shell remain but feel tuned to give a more “usable” downhill flex rather than ultra-harsh.
-
Transition mechanics refined: The RaceLock and TwistFit systems are better refined in this generation for smoother operation.
So, if you loved the earlier DNA for its weight and stiffness but found the fit a little too narrow or the liner too minimalist, this generation addresses those concerns while keeping the same race-oriented DNA.
Warning: Skimo racing boots size 1 full size smaller than regular boot for the same Mondo size. For example, a 27.5/28 DNA has the same length as a 26.5 normal touring boot. Don't forget to adjust your size selection to reflect the size discrepancy.
