Most insulation vests are for standing around in the cold. The Nano-Air Light Vest is for moving through it. The 40g FullRange insulation is highly air-permeable at 35 CFM, meaning it vents excess body heat at hard effort and traps it back in when you ease off. The result is a piece you leave on across the full range of a skin track, a climbing route, or a technical alpine day rather than stuffing in a pocket every time you warm up.
The shell is 1.6oz 30-denier recycled polyester shadow stretch ripstop, stretchy and comfortable against the skin with a microtexture that prevents it from sticking. PFAS-free DWR sheds light moisture. Low-profile quilting is placed to allow full layering under a shell without bunching or restricting shoulder mobility. Two zippered handwarmer pockets, a left chest pocket that stuffs the vest flat for packing, clean articulated cut throughout.
At around 227g it's light enough to live in a pack without debate.
