The Patagonia DAS Light Shorts are built for fast, efficient warmth when the temps drop and you don’t want to waste time layering. With full-length side zippers, they slip on or off without touching boots, harnesses, or bulky pants — perfect for transitions on stormy ridgelines or quick refuels at camp.
They’re packed with PlumaFill, Patagonia’s ultralight synthetic insulation that mimics down loft but keeps heat even when wet. A 100% recycled Pertex® Quantum Pro shell keeps weight low while adding weather resistance with a PFAS-free DWR finish. Inside, the quilting is designed to maximize loft and minimize cold spots, so your quads stay warm without unnecessary bulk.
A stretchy, elasticized waistband with zip fly and snap closure makes them easy to wear over shells or harnesses, and the unisex fit is sized for layering. At just 179 g (6.3 oz), they compress down small, disappear in the pack, and punch way above their weight when you pull them on.
Fair Trade Certified™ sewn, bluesign® approved fabrics, made with 100% recycled nylon and polyester.
Bottom line: ultralight, weather-resistant warmth that works wet or dry — a serious belay short for alpine missions, ski tours, and anywhere else you need instant insulation without the hassle.
