Patagonia Capilene Cool Ultra T-Shirt (Men's)
The Cool Ultra sits at the top of Patagonia's Capilene lineup, above the Cool Daily and Cool Lightweight. It's their lightest and fastest-drying option, built specifically for high-output, high-sweat use where those two things matter most.
The fabric is a 2.2oz 100% recycled polyester textured knit with a honeycomb construction. That structure creates more surface area against the skin, which speeds up moisture transfer and gives the shirt a noticeably airy feel in motion. It's treated with HeiQ Mint odor control and miDori bioSoft, a plant-based softener that also improves wicking over the life of the garment. Flatlock seams throughout and armhole gussets keep it chafe-free under a vest or pack.
In practical use, the Cool Ultra dries faster than any other shirt in the Capilene range. On hot days and high-effort output it handles sweat well, and the textured knit construction means it doesn't cling when saturated the way a smooth jersey does. The tradeoff for all that is fabric weight: at 2.2oz it's thin, and it shows in durability relative to the Cool Daily. Pack strap contact zones will pill faster, and rough use or dry hands can snag the knit. It also carries no UPF rating, which is worth knowing for full-day sun exposure.
Fit is slim. Patagonia sizes tend to run true, but the Cool Ultra cuts closer than the Cool Daily, so if you're between sizes or prefer more room through the shoulders for layering, sizing up is worth considering.

We accept returns on eligible items within 15 days of delivery, provided the product is in like-new condition.
Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
All sale items are final sale. The following items are not eligible for return: carbon-plated running shoes, avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes, airbags), climbing equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, slings), ski crampons, helmets and gift cards.

International returns are not accepted. A 10% deduction applies to all refunds to cover credit card processing and administrative fees.
