The 30S is the Switchback 32 on a shortened back system for smaller torsos. Two litres less volume, 30g lighter, otherwise identical in construction, features, and intent.
This pack is perfect for the 4 to 8 hour backcountry day. It is stable on fast descents, breathable on spring skin tracks, and organized well enough that nothing required unpacking to access. The molded foam Full Contact Light panel kept the load centred without the pack sagging or shifting under around 25lbs of gear, which is more than most ski days demand.
