Ortovox Pro Rescue Shovel
The Pro Rescue is the biggest, most capable shovel in the Ortovox lineup, built for guides and professional use where moving maximum snow as fast as possible is what matters. The blade is 720cm² with high sidewalls, stability ribs, and a sharpened edge that cuts through dense avalanche debris and hard snow without deflecting. Four litres of snow per scoop. If you've used a smaller shovel in a real rescue scenario and ran into the limits of a compact blade, this is the answer.The oval shaft cross-section keeps the blade aligned without having to position it on assembly. It's a small detail that matters when you're doing transitions in cold, stressful conditions. Telescoping handle extends to 91.5cm, packs to 47cm. Slide-in guide locks in place without pressing a button. D-grip handle with rubberized non-slip surface fits well in gloves and delivers leverage on the dig. The 90-degree plug clearing function removes compacted snow from the blade face without stopping to bang it out manually.Four recesses in the blade allow assembly of a rescue sled. The flat blade profile also works for snow profiles, rutschblock tests, and igloo construction. UIAA 156 certified.At 740g it's noticeably heavier than a compact shovel. The Pro Rescue earns its place in a guide's pack or a group kit where efficiency in a long rescue matters.

We accept returns on eligible items within 15 days of delivery, provided the product is in like-new condition.
Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
