Ortovox Focus Voice Transceiver
The Focus Voice is the direct successor to the Diract Voice, keeping the feature that made that beacon stand out and fixing the one thing that held it back. The voice guidance is still here, spoken instructions through signal search, coarse search, and fine search so your eyes stay on the snow rather than on a screen. The search range is now 80–90m, nearly double the Diract Voice's 50m and in line with what's expected from a current high-end beacon. That's the meaningful upgrade.
The voice navigation is worth understanding rather than dismissing. In a real burial scenario, especially a multiple burial, a rescuer who isn't a trained guide benefits significantly from audio instructions keeping them on track. Experienced users may find it redundant, but it's not in the way either; the screen visuals run slightly ahead of the voice commands, so practiced searchers can work at their own pace and let the voice serve as confirmation rather than instruction. Powder Magazine called it the most intuitive beacon on the market for less experienced backcountry users, and that assessment still holds on the Focus Voice.
The display is the largest Memory-in-Pixel screen on the market, readable in full sun and with polarized lenses. Smart Antenna Technology analyses the beacon's orientation and switches to the best transmitting antenna automatically, which matters most when the beacon is buried in a non-ideal position. Multiple burial flagging, secondary avalanche protection that reverts to transmit after inactivity, interference reduction from smartphones and GPS watches. Rechargeable lithium-ion via USB-C, app-updatable firmware, RECCO reflector built into the harness.

We accept returns on eligible items within 15 days of delivery, provided the product is in like-new condition.
Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
All sale items are final sale. The following items are not eligible for return: carbon-plated running shoes, avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes, airbags), climbing equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, slings), ski crampons, helmets and gift cards.
