This is the Pegasus for wet-weather trail days. It keeps the road-shoe responsiveness the Pegasus is known for and adds a waterproof Gore-Tex Invisible Fit upper, so puddles, wet grass, and drizzly coastal mornings don’t end your run early. A stretchy fabric panel hugs the back of the heel to keep trail debris out.
Underfoot is a ReactX foam midsole with a generous stack and a smooth rocker for easy transitions between road, gravel, and mellow singletrack. The outsole is Nike’s All Terrain Compound with a redesigned lug pattern that grips on wet trail, and the forefoot is wider with a roomier toe box, which helps on long climbs and descents and adds stability on uneven ground. The engineered mesh upper is paired with the Gore-Tex liner for protection against roots and trail debris.
It’s a light-trail shoe, best for fire roads, groomed trails, gravel, and road-to-trail routes in wet conditions. Like any Gore-Tex shoe, it runs warmer than a standard mesh trainer, so it’s a better pick for fall, winter, and spring than for hot summer days.
