Janji's Pinnacle R.D. line is their race-day collection, and the Gossamer Tee is the top of that stack. The name comes from the fabric: Gossamer is a wave-shaped yarn construction that mimics a gauze-like weave, creating a semi-sheer, exceptionally airy material that sits closer to a second skin than a traditional running tee. At 68g in a size XS, it's one of the lightest tees on the market in any category.

The fabric's main job is ventilation, and the wave-yarn construction handles that differently than a standard perforated or knit jersey. Air moves through the structure rather than just across the surface, which matters specifically in high heat and high output where standard wicking fabrics start to fall short. The handfeel is notably soft, with low friction against skin in the zones that matter most on long efforts: under pack straps, across the shoulders, and at the collar.

The tee is cut shorter than a standard running shirt, which reduces fabric weight and keeps the hem clear of waistband pockets and race belts. Janji's reflective logo is visible in low light. All materials are Bluesign certified. A portion of proceeds from Janji goes toward global clean water access, a thread that runs through the brand from the name down.

Worth knowing: the Gossamer fabric is semi-sheer. That's a feature of the construction, not a flaw. It's also a race and hot-weather-specific garment; on cooler or easier days, the Space-O Singlet or Patagonia Cool Ultra will make more sense.
