Blizzard Canvas 108 Skis
The Blizzard Canvas 108 is a new-school freeride ski built around a simple idea: skiing should be fun. At 108mm underfoot, it hits a versatile sweet spot for soft snow, storm days and everyday freeride skiing, with a progressive shape that wants to slash, pivot, pop and find natural features all over the mountain.
Blizzard pairs a lightweight poplar and paulownia wood core with fiberglass and carbon laminates, keeping swing weight relatively low while maintaining enough backbone underfoot for higher speeds and bigger landings. A heavily rockered tip, shallow camber underfoot and rockered twin tail give the Canvas 108 a loose, easy-to-release feel in soft snow without completely giving up edge hold when things get firmer.
This isn't a traditional directional Blizzard. The Canvas 108 is more centred, more playful and much more freestyle-minded. It's the ski for someone who sees side hits everywhere, likes to ski switch, wants to smear turns rather than always drive through them, or simply wants a forgiving and energetic 108mm freeride ski.
The artwork comes from skier and artist Penelope Misa, whose monotype work gives the Canvas collection an identity that's every bit as unconventional as the skis themselves.
