BD x norda Miniwire Carabiner

The lightest fully functional carabiner in BD's lineup. At 23g it's 7g lighter than its nearest competitor, which sounds small until you're multiplying it across a full rack. Hot-forged 7075 aluminum with 25% pre-consumer recycled content, optimized nose geometry for clean clipping and unclipping, and a wiregate that keeps things snappy in cold temperatures where solid gates can chatter and accidentally open.

One honest caveat: the small gate opening and tight gate spring mean it takes more deliberate effort to clip than a larger biner. Not a problem once you're used to it, but worth knowing if you're coming from a bigger, more forgiving gate.

Best for long trad routes, alpine objectives, and any situation where grams compound into something meaningful.
