Asics Magic Speed 5 Shoes (Unisex)

The Magic Speed 5 is a significant course correction from the 4. Where that shoe went wide with a 43.5mm stack and ended up stranded between a daily trainer and a race shoe, the 5 drops 6mm in the heel and 5mm in the forefoot, sheds 49g, and comes back to what the Magic Speed line was supposed to be: a lightweight carbon trainer that sits one tier below the Metaspeed race shoes and earns its place in a rotation between hard workout days and race day.

The midsole is the main story. A top layer of FF Leap, Asics' lightest and most responsive foam, sits over a bottom layer of FF Blast+ for structure and stability. FF Leap is the same compound used in the Metaspeed Ray, and bringing it into the Magic Speed 5 is what closes the gap between trainer and race shoe feel. A full-length carbon plate runs between the two layers. The ride is noticeably more direct and ground-connected than the 4, which is the point: faster paces feel more natural, cornering feels more precise, and the shoe no longer fights you when you try to move quickly. The upper is engineered mesh with 75% recycled content, 13% lighter than the previous version, and runs more accommodating than the snug Metaspeed upper, which makes it a more realistic choice for longer workout efforts.

Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.

All sale items are final sale. The following items are not eligible for return: carbon-plated running shoes, avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes, airbags), climbing equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, slings), ski crampons, helmets and gift cards.

Return Process & Fees
International returns are not accepted. A 10% deduction applies to all refunds to cover credit card processing and administrative fees.
