Asics Fuji Lite 7 Shoes (Unisex)

The Fuji Lite 7 is Asics' seventh swing at the lightweight, ground-feel-focused trail shoe that sits between the protective Gel Trabuco line and the race-focused Metafuji Trail. It's the one in Asics' trail lineup built around agility rather than maximum cushion, and that formula carries through unchanged here.

The biggest shift this generation is the upper: the engineered mesh used on the Fuji Lite 6 has been replaced by an engineered woven construction that gives the shoe a more premium look and promises improved trail durability. That's paired with a new Tongue Wing design, which wraps more securely around the midfoot and helps cut down on tongue movement over longer efforts. The shoe retains the FF Blast Plus midsole from the 6, balancing cushion and responsiveness without adding bulk, and comes in lighter at a claimed 241g, about 11g less than its predecessor. Stack height holds steady at 32mm heel and 28mm forefoot for a 4mm drop, keeping the natural trail-running feel the line is known for. 

Outsole is largely a carryover: ASICSGrip rubber with 4mm lugs in a tread pattern built for versatility over outright aggression, which lines up with how the 6 performed: confident on mixed terrain, less suited to deep mud or hard technical rock. No rock plate, so sharp underfoot terrain will make itself known on longer days, a consistent thread across reviews of the 6 as well. 

Worth noting on the sustainability side: Asics reports a carbon footprint of 11.8kg CO2e per pair, about 18% below the industry average for running shoes.
