Arc'teryx Quintic 28L Backpack
The Quintic 28 is Arc’teryx’s freeride daypack, built around a specific design principle: a shorter back length and low centre of gravity that keeps the load close and stable when you’re moving on snow. At 28L it covers a full backcountry day, and the access system is where it earns its keep.
The body is N420p Cordura plain weave, tough and light throughout. The front panel and top pocket step up to N400r-AC² ripstop nylon with strategically taped seams for targeted weather resistance in the highest-exposure zones. FC0 PFAS-free DWR throughout. A polyethylene sheet and flexible steel frame distribute load without the rigidity of a full frame, keeping the pack comfortable and stable on skintrack and bootpack without fighting you on the descent.
Access is the defining feature. The main compartment opens wide from the front and has a second rear entry for quick access without swinging the pack around, useful with skis or a board still attached. The padded front pocket is dedicated to avalanche safety gear and skins, keeping wet gear separate from the main compartment. A microfleece-lined top pocket protects goggles. Diagonal ski carry and vertical snowboard carry. The removable Coarc Helmet Carry system attaches a helmet externally when you need the interior space.
No hydration sleeve and no external water bottle pocket keep things consistent with the stripped-back freeride brief. For a stable, well-organized freeride pack you can carry all day without thinking about it, the Quintic delivers.
