This is a great early season long run. The lower elevation on that loop allows for faster snowmelt and it is one of the first dry trails in the Bow valley (especially around Prairie View). I like to run that loop from Quaite valley up to Prairie View, then down the switchbacks of the regular Prairie View hike. This way it is possible to run back up Jewell pass, which is a beautiful gradual climb. On a hot day, this direction also allows you to spend less time in the sun on Prairie View
