Tecnica Zero G Decoy 115 W Ski Boots (Women's)

The Decoy 115 W is the women's version of the Decoy platform, built on the same design brief as the Decoy Pro: start from the Zero G Tour, upgrade the shell to PU, add GripWalk soles and a more capable liner, and land somewhere between a dedicated touring boot and a hard-charging freeride boot. At 1,510g and a 115 flex, it sits slightly lighter and softer than the men's Pro, but the construction philosophy is identical.

The PU shell is the defining detail. Most boots at this weight use Grilamid for the shell to keep grams down, and the tradeoff is a livelier, less damp feel underfoot. Tecnica chose PU here, which is what you find in traditional alpine boots, for its superior dampening and more consistent flex across cold temperatures. The result is a boot that skis with more authority in variable and heavy snow than a standard touring shell can deliver. The T-Drive 2.0 spine links shell and cuff dynamically, improving energy transfer and edge engagement without sacrificing the flex progression. C.A.S. heat-moldable technology in both shell and liner.

Walk mode delivers 65 degrees of cuff rotation, same as the Decoy Pro, which puts it well ahead of most hybrid competitors. On the ascent it moves like a touring boot. On the descent, reviewers testing alongside the men's version in Cooke City noted it handled rowdy backcountry terrain with confidence that the Zero G Tour Pro simply can't match. The GripWalk sole handles mixed terrain and rocky bootpacks, and the boot is compatible with both tech bindings and GripWalk alpine bindings.
