DPS Powderworks Lotus Tour CFL 117 Skis
Description
The Wasatch Range is home turf for DPS, and with storms that can bury the range under hundreds of inches of snow each winter, they know a thing or two about designing a proper powder tool. Enter the Powderworks Lotus Tour 117—a ski made to revel in bottomless conditions. With its wide waist and tuned flex profile, it surfs with ease, staying playful and responsive whether you’re arcing long turns or snapping quick slashes. A directional sidecut combined with substantial rocker at the tip and tail keeps the ski maneuverable, predictable, and smooth even when the terrain gets tight.
Despite the generous dimensions, hauling the Lotus Tour 117 uphill doesn’t feel like dragging an anchor. That’s thanks to the paulownia wood core borrowed from the Pagoda Tour series, which trims weight without cutting stability. The core is wrapped in DPS’s Carbon + Flax Laminate: carbon fiber for snap and power, flax fibers for natural dampening. Together they keep the ski energetic yet calm at speed, with surprising composure when you hit firm patches or variable snow. Rockwell 48 edges, World Cup race bases, and an anti-stick topsheet finish off the build, making the ski tough enough for the backcountry and fast enough to keep you grinning lap after lap.
At 117mm underfoot, the Lotus Tour 117 is unapologetically wide, purpose-built for storm cycles, Japan pilgrimages, or Rogers Pass mornings when the restricted backcountry areas finally open. Add in details like Super Sap bio-based resin for lower impact construction and a factory Phantom treatment that means you’ll glide fast without waxing, and you’ve got one of the most advanced powder touring skis available today. This is the board you’ll want when the snow stacks deep and the mountains demand something big.
