Suunto Race 2 Watch
The Race 2 is Suunto's return to the conversation. The original Race was a strong watch that didn't quite stick the landing on software. The Race 2 fixes most of that: the display is now one of the brightest 1.5" AMOLED screens on any GPS watch, the navigation is genuinely practical with full offline topo maps, every feature is available at purchase with no subscription required, and the H1 2026 firmware added automatic transitions, HR broadcast to bike computers, pool drill sets, and support for duathlon, aquathlon, and swimrun as default modes.
Battery life is the headline number: 40 hours in GPS mode with the screen on, which is what actually matters on a long alpine day. Better Trail tested 15 hours of continuous GPS use with the screen on the whole time and came out at 56% battery, which tracks. Four presets cover performance through ultra modes, and the watch surfaces them every time you start an activity rather than burying them in menus.
Where it sits in the category: better display and offline maps than the Coros Apex 4, more competitive price than the Garmin Forerunner 970, no music storage or contactless payment. It's mid-pack on raw GPS, which is worth knowing if that's your priority. For athletes focused on training, navigation, and long days in the mountains, it's one of the more compelling options at the price.

Returns and Exchanges
We accept returns on eligible items within 15 days of delivery, provided the product is in like-new condition.
Footwear may be tried indoors only (home or treadmill). All returned items must be unworn beyond fit testing, include original manufacturer packaging and hang tags (fees may apply if damaged) and have been purchased from SkiUphill-RunUphill within the 15-day window. Apparel must be completely unworn.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
All sale items are final sale. The following items are not eligible for return: carbon-plated running shoes, avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes, airbags), climbing equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, slings), ski crampons, helmets and gift cards.
Return Process & Fees
International returns are not accepted. A 10% deduction applies to all refunds to cover credit card processing and administrative fees.
