The ski that started it all.

Hoji has been the centrepiece of the 4FRNT touring lineup for over a decade, and it remains the benchmark for how a reverse-camber ski should feel in the mountains. Wider than the Raven at 112mm underfoot, heavier than the Nevar, and more committed to soft snow than either, this is the ski you choose when the forecast is good and you want to make the most of it.

The Multi Radius Rocker profile is what separates the current Hoji from older versions and most competitors. Rather than a single continuous rocker radius, the profile blends multiple radii from tip to tail: mellow through the centre for better tracking and edge grip on firm snow, rising more aggressively in the tip and tail for float and surf in deep snow. The tip splay has been increased by over 5mm from earlier models, which is meaningful in real powder. The triaxial-braided fiberglass layup adds torsional grip on hardpack without stiffening the flex pattern, and four carbon stringers underfoot add snap and pop without weight penalty. Neoprene tip inserts handle chatter and vibration in variable conditions. The aspen-maple core delivers a damp, lively ride that skis bigger than the weight suggests.

In practice, the Hoji is the most versatile ski in the 4FRNT lineup. It surfs in powder. It tracks through trees. It handles steep committing terrain better than its long 30m radius implies, because the multi-radius rocker mellows the sidecut exactly where it needs to be mellow. It's not a hardpack ski, nobody should expect that at 112mm with full reverse camber, but it manages firm snow better than any previous version.
