Stawamus Chief First Peak
Description: The quintessential Squamish Out-And-Back climb. The Stawamus Chief 1st peak trail begins in lush rainforest and consistently ascends the back side of the Chief. After about 450 meters of gain prepare yourself for stunning views of the Howe Sound and surrounding peaks as you make your way up the summit slabs.
- Distance: 4km roundtrip
- Difficulty: Moderate/Challenging
- Elevation Gain: 580 meters +-
- Where to Park: Stawamus Chief Provincial Park Upper Lot
- Surface: Expect slippery roots, rocks, Long wooden staircases, low angled rock slabs, chains, and one short steel ladder.
