The Erin Moore Trail is a 7 kilometre loop with 650 meters of elevation gain located in Lions Bay. This lesser known trail will test your technical running skills. Don't be fooled by the humble distance of 7km. The Erin Moore trail is unrelenting and will have you appreciating the short non-technical sections when they arise. Take some time to appreciate the massive Douglas fir and Western Red Cedar old growth. These are some of the largest trees along the Sea To Sky highway. At roughly half way runners will be treated to a beautiful lookout over the Howe Sound and Bowen island. The Erin Moore Trail is perfect for a morning loop or a rainy day outing. For an excellent day in Lions Bay run Erin Moore in the morning, Stop for food and a coffee or beverage at the Lions Bay Store, then head on down to Lions Bay Beach and enjoy sunset over the Howe Sound!
The Erin Moore Trail was named in memory of little Erin Moore, a seven year old girl that tragically passed away in a rockslide while hiking near Lions Bay in 2014. The trail is a beautiful tribute to Erin Moore and the life that she lived.
