K2 Wayback 96
loading..
K2-enthusiasts will all tell you that nothing feels quite like a Wayback, but also that if you've skied a K2 once, you'll always know what to expect from the Pacific Northwest-based manufacturer.
What is that K2 feeling like? First, it's a ski that is designed to take you down the mountain as safely as possible no matter the conditions. Don't imagine a spitfire; think of this broken-in tool you love reaching out for because it provides you comfort, familiarity and reassurance. That's exactly how the Wayback 96 - and all Waybacks - feels like.
The Wayback 96 incorporates a metal laminate into a lightweight constriction thus creating an extremely versatile ski. All the edge grip, stability and downhill performance you come to expect from a ski with metal is now possible in a sub-1400 g package. The comfort and ease for multi-day hit tours and the confidence and stability for the steepest days.
Stay away from the Wayback if you're into bouncy toys, but if your jam is comfort and predictability then this is the ski you've been looking for.
Best enjoyed mounted 1 to 2 cm ahead of the recommended position.
