What we think:

While none of us has ever driven a sports car (we are more into human-powered fun), the Hannibal 106 is what we would imagine one of those exotic convertibles would feel like. Fisher's newest deep days touring toy combines razor-sharp handling and precision and excellent stability to create what is one of the most intuitive and responsive powder skis out there. Get ready, fun happens at full-throttle on the 106s !

You'd think all this horsepower would come at a cost, but the 178 cm still comes in at a very competitive 1575 gram per ski. How did Fischer do that? A Paulownia wood core, a massive amount of directional and diagonal carbon fiber, an extended titanal binding plate and Fischer's Aerospace Ti shape come together to offer a ski that is designed to get those deep first tracks, but also to get you up there first!

The Hannibal 106 is a powder charging backcountry ski that can still handle less-than-ideal conditions. Who said you couldn't get sports car performance in an affordable package?

Tests and Reviews

What Confessions of a Ski Bum says:

I love this ski. Fully opening up on the Hannibal 106, cranking turns at high speed and jumping over small trees is as fun as hell with them. I haven’t touched my other skis since getting them. I’ve skied everything from boiler plate to chest deep backcountry powder and I haven’t had a “ah I wish I was skiing something different” moment yet. If I had to sell all my skis except one pair you would see me on my Hannibal 106s tomorrow with a smile on my face.

Do you like to ski fast downhill in the backcountry and are a capable tree skier? Then you’ll love this ski. Are you a solid intermediate to expert skier who likes speed but can only afford 1 setup for backcountry and resort? You can rock this ski and be stoked 99% of the time. Are you a beginner or intermediate skier that gets nervous at high speeds? Then this honestly probably isn’t for you. You can ski the Hannibal at slower speeds but you would be missing the main point of the design and purpose.

The Hannibal 106 is a weapon and shines while trying to find the skis limit, to get the most out of them your skiing personality should match.
