July 3rd - Centennial Ridge

July 3rd - Centennial Ridge

Centennial Ridge, a classic Summer adventure in the front ranges while the snowpack in Banff and Yoho melts enough to allow us to head West in the coming weeks.

2 options

1- Traverse from Nakiska to Dead Man's Flat. 20 km, 1500m of elevation gain

2 - Lollipop from Nakiska to Mount Allan, then to Collembola and back down the same way. 25 km, 2000m + of elevation gain (maybe more).

The Plan

Let's all meet at the Peter Lougheed Viewpoint Day Use Area above Dead Man's Flat at 8:30 AM on Sunday. From there, we'll arrange car logistics depending on the group's interests and carpool to Ribbon Creek Day Use Area.

The Groups

- Social group will be led by RunUphill's own Gavin Harmacy. Chats, laughs, views and an awesome day up high with this crew.

- Faster group will be led by Joel Desgreniers. Still a "no-drop" group, but quicker pace.

See y'all on Sunday morning at 8:30.

Prepare for alpine environment:  bring enough food, and enough layers!
