July 24th - Deception Pass/Skoki Loop

Gavin and Joel are away this week. Karen will be leading the run this Sunday as a result :) Lucky you, she's leaving for Australia in a few weeks but she's agreed to give us a hand last-minute while the boys are away.

Meeting times

- 8:30 AM at the store in Canmore to carpool

- 9:30 AM at the Skoki parking lot just East of Lake Louise Ski Resort. 

Distances

- 36 to 39 km for the full Skoki Loop

- 25 km for Deception Pass

Mostly through boulder gardens and open valleys this route is, for the distance, a relatively relaxed day out. Good for those looking to get the legs going a little bit faster, the elevation all comes at an easy grade and the downhills are perfect to charge on. This loop really glows, literally, in the fall when all the flora dons its autumnal hues.
